DZ chapter

"Sisterhood is many things. It's a warm smile on a cold and rainy day, a friendly hug, a cheerful hello... It's all that a good and lasting friendship is, only better. It's treasured. It's sacred. It's knowing that there will always be someone there for you. It's dreams shared, and goals achieved. It's counting on others and being counted on. It is real."

The University of Memphis is home to the Delta Zeta Chapter of Delta Gamma Fraternity. We are a remarkable group of women who are strong as individuals, but who know that true greatness can only be achieved through sisterhood with others. Individually, we each accomplish great things and contribute to the world around us in unique ways. Together, we work to enrich the lives of one another through the bonds of sisterhood.

Welcome to the University of Memphis! You have made a great choice in university and are now making an equally excellent choice in choosing to learn more about Greek life.

Since becoming a Delta Gamma, I have grown so much as a student, a leader, a daughter, and a sister. My chapter prides ourselves in our individual uniqueness. Each sister brings something special to the chapter that completes the puzzle. We are involved in student organizations, intramurals, internships, and research positions. We have belly dancers, marathon runners, Quidditch players, and pageant queens. We encourage every sister to develop to her fullest potential. Your college years are about change and growth, let us be the ones to cheer you on along the way.

As a sorority, our primary purpose is "to foster high ideals of friendship, promote educational and cultural interests, create a true sense of social responsibility, and develop the finest qualities of character." We hold a variety of sisterhood events to establish bonds to last a lifetime. As students, we understand the importance of schoolwork and have programs to help sisters struggling in their studies and also to encourage those succeeding. The leadership experience taken away from involvement in the chapter and in outside organizations sets us up with networking and skills for our futures.

I know that without the women I've met since joining Delta Gamma 3 years ago, my college experience and life would not be the same. I challenge you to take the first step in changing your lives, take the chance and go Greek.

GO BLUE, GO GREY, GO GREEK!
